Friday 17th December 2010
20:00 – Joanna leaves Bristol Ram pub, Park st, after having post-work drinks with workmates.
20:10 (approx) – Enters Waitrose on Clifton Triangle, caught on CCTV.
20:30 Phone conversation with friend whilst walking home, mood described as normal/happy.
20:37 Buys Pizza at Tesco Express, Regent St.
Sunday 19th December 2010
Boyfirend returns from trip to see family in Sheffield, discovers Jo missing, personal effects still in flat. Reports to Jo’s parents and Police.
Saturday 25th December
09:00 Couple find Jo’s body in Longwood Lane, Failand whilst walking their dog.

its unusual circumstances to go missing at anytime of the year, yet so poigniant at xmas time, our hearts go out to the family and partner, in this difficult time,
hopefully the people of bristol will come together as a community and keep up a vigilance to seek jo,s where abouts.
although many people go missing each year, alot are found in good time, before anything out of the ordinary occur,s
we work with homeless males in the midlands and we empathise with what the family are going through
we wish you all the encouragement and support in the world, dont let the media stop assisiting in this search, the power it has can be a great comfort.

I am so sorry to hear about what is going on. My deepest sympathies and thoughts are with the whole family.
Chris – I know we’ve not been in touch in a while and I’m sorry for that. My mobile number hasn’t changed and is included in my email address for this post.
It’s come as a great shock as I’ve lived in Bristol for over 8 years now. Even more of a shock is that I was actually walking up Park Street at around 8pm that evening to Goldbrick House from Baldwin Street. Unfortunately I didn’t notice anything unusual or suspicious. However if you think there’s anything I can help with (local knowledge, a place to stay, anything) please don’t hesitate to contact me.
As soon as I’m back in the country (26th/27th) I’ll help handing out flyers and I’ll ask all my friends to do the same.

I’m sure someone had thought of this but has anyone checked to see if the cooker works? If it doesn’t it could explain her leaving the house, pizza in hand seemingly soon after she’d got hone? She may have gone to a friend or neighbours to ask to use theirs.

We’re all deeply shaken by the loss of Jo. I only met her once, at Chris’s moving in party (when he moved in next door), but she seemed a vibrant person, so full of life. Our hearts go out to all Jo’s family and all of you who knew her and if there’s anything you need please feel free to knock next door. We’ll always be available.

Following this terrible story from America with the Guardian as my home page, my heart broke in two, who cannot help but to suffer deeply the agonizing pain for this beautiful girl’s family. I just need to reach out and say how deeply affected I am and I wish I could do something to ease the pain, but I cannot. I am certain there are people all over the world, like myself who never knew her who will be affected and very very sad. God bless, reaching out, prayers and love, from an America.

Such a desperately crule and sad thing to happen. As a father myself I can only imagine the pain you must all have been going through during the past days and nights. I hope you’ll find the strength to support one another during the times ahead. Been thinking of you every day.

I’m so incredibly sorry to hear about the loss of someone who is so clearly loved. My thoughts are with Jo’s family and friends.
I’m not sure if it makes a difference but the site’s key information states Jo’s body was found at Longmead Lane whereas the BBC site states Longwood Lane (which is in Somerset boundaries). I thought this discrepancy should be pointed out as it may help people remember something of importance.
Additionally, and without meaning to be speculative, the former location had much more access to a number of train stations.
I wish the police a speedy investigation to bring justice to Jo.

This an awful tragedy my thoughts and prayers got out to Jo’s family, boyfriend and friends.
Iam from Northern Ireland and listen regularly to the news to see if the killer/s have been caught. I hope this happens soon and justice for Jo is got.
